Mecklenburg County resident Nell Parker is a former public relations professional who enjoys working with the youth and preschool children. She has over 12 years of experience in public relations and an educational background at the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor of arts journalism degree with a focus on public relations and marketing. Today, Nell Parker works with community members in Mecklenburg County, advising youth and their parents on career paths, college applications, admissions, and preparations. She also sits on various committees, including the local parent advisory board, the beatification and hospitality committees at Alexander Graham Middle School, and the public relations committee at Charlotte Youth Ballet, which oversees hospitality, special events, rebranding, fundraising, and publicity.
In her free time, Ms. Parker enjoys home improvement activities (especially gardening), reading, and traveling. She is a regular at Myers Park United Methodist Church, where she teaches Sunday School, serves as the confirmation leader, and is a member of the missions outreach committee and the preschool board of advisors. She has also served as the Mecklenburg County chairperson for the organization North Carolina Women for Nikki, supporting Nikki Haley's presidential campaign.
